Bubble Up is a new programme from cultural education charity Curious Minds, nurturing new forms of artistic partnership and collaboration at an innovative, hyper-local level, for the benefit of children and young people as they return to schools.

The purpose of the Bubble Up commissions is to put money directly in the hands of grass-roots practitioners, with the belief that they have the knowledge and experience to empower recovery in local neighbourhoods.

By placing these practitioners in partnerships within Local Neighbourhood Delivery Bubbles, Curious Minds is helping to create a better-connected cultural education sector. This way partners can challenge and support one another to be courageous, innovative, diligent and safe whilst delivering inspiring work to young people in this period of recovery.

After the first phase of delivery, we hope to have empowered 50 cultural organisations, freelance teaching artists, youth organisations to have delivered extra-time cultural learning clubs for 11-13 year olds, with a focus on meeting the needs of children transitioning to secondary school in the autumn term.
